What is Preterax®?
Preterax® ist ein verschreibungspflichtiges Kombinationsmedikament zur Behandlung von essentiellem Bluthochdruck bei Erwachsenen. Es enthält Perindopril (ACE-Hemmer) und Indapamid (Thiazid-ähnliches Diuretikum).
Active Ingredients & Mechanism of Action
Active ingredient: Perindopril/Indapamid
Perindopril hemmt das Angiotensin-Converting-Enzym (ACE), wodurch weniger des gefäßverengenden Hormons Angiotensin II gebildet wird. Indapamid wirkt harntreibend und senkt den Blutdruck durch Entwässerung und leichte Gefäßerweiterung.
Who is it suitable for?
Erwachsene mit essentiellem Bluthochdruck, bei denen eine Kombinationstherapie sinnvoll ist oder bei denen eine Einzelwirkstoff-Therapie nicht ausreicht.
Available Dosages
Übliche Dosierung: Perindopril 2,5 mg/Indapamid 0,625 mg oder 5 mg/1,25 mg einmal täglich.
How to Take
Einmal täglich morgens vor dem Frühstück mit Wasser einnehmen.
Contraindications
Nicht anwenden bei Schwangerschaft (2./3. Trimenon), Angioödem in der Vorgeschichte unter ACE-Hemmern, schwerer Nieren- oder Leberinsuffizienz, schwerer Hypokaliämie, Sulfonamid-Allergie.
Possible Side Effects
Häufig: Kopfschmerzen, Schwindel, Husten, Schwäche, Muskelkrämpfe. Gelegentlich: Elektrolytstörungen, Hautausschlag. Selten aber wichtig: Angioödem (bei Schwellung im Gesicht/Hals sofort Arzt aufsuchen).
Interactions
Wechselwirkungen mit Lithium, NSAR, kaliumsparenden Diuretika, Kaliumpräparaten, Antidiabetika.
