What is PiDaNa?
PiDaNa is an emergency prevention with the active ingredient Levonorgestrel. It can prevent pregnancy up to 72 hours (3 days) after unprotected intercourse.
PiDaNa has been available in Germany without prescription since 2015 and is a proven option for emergency prevention.
Active Ingredients & Mechanism of Action
Active ingredient: Levonorgestrel 1,5 mg
Levonorgestrel is a gestagen that delays or prevents ovulation. The earlier the intake, the higher the effectiveness.
PiDaNa is NOT an abortion pill – an existing pregnancy is not terminated.
Who is it suitable for?
Women after contraception when taking is possible within 72 hours.
Available Dosages
A tablet with 1.5 mg of Levonorgestrel.
How to Take
Take as quickly as possible, with or without food.
Contraindications
Existing pregnancy, severe liver disease.
