What is Livonia?
Livial contains Tibolon, a synthetic steroid with estrogenic, gestagenic androgenic effect. It is an alternative to the classic HRT and is given as a single substance without additional gestagen – even in women with uterus.
Livial has a favorable influence on mood and libido through its androgenic component.
Active Ingredients & Mechanism of Action
Active ingredient: Tibolon 2,5 mg
Tibolon is converted into metabolites in the body that:
- Activate estrogen receptors (against heat flashes)
- Activate stag receptors (protection of uterus)
- Activate androgen receptors (positive effect on libido)
Who is it suitable for?
Women at least 1 year after the last period with:
- Annual change
- Reduced libido
- osteoporosis risk
Available Dosages
2.5 mg of tibolone daily.
How to Take
A tablet every day, without a break.
Contraindications
Breast cancer, thrombosis, stroke, severe liver disease.
Possible Side Effects
Lubrication (in the beginning), chest tensions, weight gain, acne.
