What is Testavans?
Testavan® is a testosterone gel (2 %) with a practical dosing dispenser that is used for hormone replacement therapy in adult men with proven testosterone deficiency.
The gel is applied once a day to the inner side of the thighs. The metering dispenser allows a particularly accurate metering. Each pump stroke emits a defined amount of testosterone, which facilitates individual dose adjustment.
Active Ingredients & Mechanism of Action
Active ingredient: Testosteron
Active mechanism:
- Transdermal Testosterone taking over the skin
- Recovering physiological testosterone levels
- binding to androgen receptors in muscles, bones, CNS, genital organs
Activity:
- Improving libido and erection capability
- Increase energy and drive
- Promoting muscle building
- Stabilization of bone density
- Improving mood
speciality: Testavan® is applied to the thigh side, which can reduce the risk of testosterone transmission by skin contact (wear covers the place more easily).
Who is it suitable for?
Testavan® is suitable for:
- Adult males with proven testosterone deficiency
- Men who prefer a simple dosage with pump dispenser
Not suitable:
- Women and children
- prostate cancer or suspicion
- Breast cancer
- Heavy heart, liver or kidney failure
- Polycythemia
- Men with active child desire
Available Dosages
Dosing:
- 1 pump stroke = 23 mg testosterone
- start dose: 23 mg (1 stroke) daily
- Adjustment after blood level control: 23–69 mg (1–3 strokes) daily
Control:
- Control blood levels after about 14 days (before morning dose)
- Target: Testosterone level in standard range
- Regular control of hematocrit, PSA and liver values
How to Take
Application:
- Once a day, preferably morning
- Apply to the inside of the thighs
- Skin must be clean, dry and unharmed
- Leave to dry for at least 2 minutes after application
- Wash hands thoroughly
Important notes:
- Do not apply to genitals, chest or face
- Avoid skin contact with partner and children
- Wash the job before skin contact or cover with clothing
- Do not apply immediately before swimming or showering
Contraindications
**Testavan® must not be used at:* *
- prostate cancer or breast cancer
- hypersensitivity to testosterone or auxiliary substances
- Heavy heart failure
- Heavy liver failure
- Polycythemia (hematocrit > 54 %)
Preview at:
- Sleep apnea
- prostate enlargement
- cardiovascular diseases
- Diabetes mellitus
- Epilepsy
Possible Side Effects
Family (1–10 %):
- Skin irritation at the job site
- Increased hematocrit
- PSA approach
- Acne
- Headaches
